Next Step Blackjack
Question 1 - [00:08]
Michael: Greetings, I'm Michael Shackleford, reporting live from the 2015 Cutting Edge Table Game Show located at the Paris Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. I'm joined by Brian Birkenmeyer from Innovative Gaming Concepts to discuss their game, Next Step Blackjack. Brian, could you elaborate on how the game works?
Brian: Next Step Blackjack is designed to be straightforward and quick, making it easy for both dealers and players. It follows the traditional Blackjack rules but includes an optional side bet. Players can win in two scenarios: if the dealer gets a Blackjack or if they themselves achieve a Blackjack. In the case that the dealer hits Blackjack, the player receives a payout of 3:1 on their side bet, and the dealer's win doesn't mean they roll the dice. However, if the player achieves a Blackjack, they get the chance to roll the dice. Their objective is to roll a total on four dice that is closest to 21. We provide payouts for totals between 17 and 21, with odds ranging from 10:1 all the way up to 1,000:1.
Question 2 - [00:56]
Michael: That sounds interesting! What is the maximum payout a player can win, and how is it achieved?
Brian: The highest payout available is 1,000:1. This occurs when a player has an Ace and a King of Hearts and successfully rolls a dice total of 21.
Question 3 - [01:08]
Michael: Can you explain the odds and math involved in this game?
Brian: The current payout percentage stands at 13.82%. However, in Nevada and Mississippi, we have four different approved pay tables, with payout percentages that vary from 6% to 17%.
Michael: Thank you for explaining the game to me.
Brian: Thank you very much, Michael.
Michael: You’re welcome.
