Caribbean Blackjack

Question 1 - [00:04]

Mike: Hello everyone. I'm Mike Shackleford from the Wizard of Odds, broadcasting live from the Raving Table Games Show 2014 at the Paris Casino in Las Vegas. Today, I'm joined by Randy Zinkil and Christina from Creative Table Games to discuss their newest offering, Caribbean Blackjack. Randy, could you explain it in more detail?

Randy: Of course! This game is essentially a two-player version of blackjack that uses just one deck of cards. Each participant makes two bets for the blackjack game and an additional wager for the five-card bonus hand. If you place a bet of $5 or more on this bonus hand, you’ll be able to engage with the outcomes of all other players’ hands at the table.

Question 2 - [00:38]

Mike: Like an Ante Bonus?

Randy: Exactly! The innovative aspect of this game is that during the next round, if a player has a pair of twos—normally, this hand would lose in other versions—we’ve integrated a push rule for any pairs from nines down to twos, ensuring that these pairs are push for the player. Therefore, players will be assessing their two cards from each hand along with the dealer’s up card to form a five-card poker hand.

Mike: I see now; it's an interesting blend of blackjack and poker elements.

Randy: Correct.

Mike: I appreciate the clarification, Randy and Christina.

Randy: Thank you.
