Arrows Edge Software & Detailed Insights on 44 Online Casinos Reviewed
On this page
Introduction
Established in 2014, Arrows Edge is a game development company that has released a modest collection of games, which includes slots, table games, and video poker. As of now, only a limited number of casinos feature games from Arrows Edge.
The titles under the Cash Grab Slots and Vintage Table Games categories were acquired by Arrows Edge at an earlier date; however, they were not originally created by the studio and do not represent their typical game development quality. This becomes especially clear when comparing them to their Super Slots offerings. We have been informed that they are currently working on updating these older games to incorporate modern technology, which should resolve various Java-related issues present in the existing versions.
On the topic of Java-related difficulties, writing this review was somewhat complicated. I encountered issues with Google Chrome, which did not support the games. An error prompted me to switch to another browser for gameplay. I opted for Internet Explorer, which tends to handle non-standard applications more gracefully, but I still had to upgrade my Java version before I could begin playing.
I have to mention that I found the older Cash Grab Slots and Vintage Table Games to be quite out of date. Additionally, while testing the video poker games for this review, I was surprised to draw the same card twice. I will elaborate on that in the section dedicated to video poker. This experience serves as a reminder to be cautious with this software to ensure it operates fairly.

Table Games
If you're someone who appreciates the nostalgia of retro table games reminiscent of early 2000s Java casinos, Arrow's Edge is likely to meet your expectations. The visuals and sounds reflect a style that feels outdated, and so does the selection of games. Arrow's Edge features classics like Casino War, Caribbean Stud Poker, Let it Ride, and Red Dog, many of which are rarely seen in today’s Las Vegas. For those seeking modern alternatives, traditional games such as blackjack, craps, and roulette are also available.
The minimum bets at these tables are pleasantly low, starting at just $1, except for pai gow poker, which demands a minimum bet of $25.
If you find the blackjack rules a bit too restrictive—given that the house edge stands at 0.72%—you might want to try Pokerjack. This game incorporates two poker-inspired side bets. However, the odds on these side bets aren't very appealing, so it's advisable to focus solely on the blackjack aspect where you can enjoy a more favorable house edge of 0.38%.
Baccarat
The standard baccarat Rules are adhered to, and the tie bet offers a paltry payout of 8 to 1 odds. While the specific number of decks is not stated, it is of little concern. Assuming an eight-deck scenario, the house edge for each bet is established.
- Banker: 1.06%.
- Player: 1.24%.
- Tie: 14.36%.
Pokerjack
Pokerjack combines elements of blackjack with two poker-based side bets, providing a unique twist: if you decide to split your blackjack hand, you are also required to split your side bets. The odds for these side bets aren't great; therefore, it's best to avoid them and focus on splitting pairs as necessary.
The house edge on the main game is recorded at 0.38%. Conversely, the Poker bet carries a higher house edge of 18.13%, and the return per $1,000 when hitting the Jackpot stands at 6.34%.
To maximize your odds, follow this base strategy, provided you opt not to make any side bets.

Blackjack
The blackjack rules are as follows:
- Six decks.
- Dealer stands on soft 17.
- Dealer peeks for blackjack.
- Player may double on 10 and 11 only.
- Double after split not allowed.
- Players have the option to re-split their hands up to four times, except in the case of aces, which can only be split once.
- Surrender not allowed.
Using my house edge calculator When crunching the numbers, I arrived at a house edge of 0.72%, which is considered high for online blackjack games.
Keep in mind that the house edge in Pokerjack is significantly lower.
Here’s the recommended basic strategy for gameplay under these specific rules.
Casino War
The standard Casino War The rules are strictly observed, which includes playing with six decks of cards. A tie bet does not offer bonuses after a tie, and the payout for the tie itself is just 10 to 1 odds.
The house edge for standard wagers stands at 2.88%, while bets on a tie have a house edge of 18.65%.
Video Poker
At the casino, you will find two main categories of video poker games: single-line and five-line. At the Drake casino, single-line options are categorized under \"Single Hand Video Poker,\" alongside other games, while five-line options are labeled \"Cash Grab Video Poker.\" Betsoft There are four single-line video poker games available. Unlike many others, these games do not incentivize players to make maximum coin bets. The pay tables are mostly standard, though notable is the absence of a large payout for a royal flush. Jacks or Better stands out, but the payouts for straight flushes and four-of-a-kinds are less appealing. Additionally, these games lack auto-hold features, except for wild cards which are automatically held in wild card variations. The game titled \"Joker Poker\" is actually referred to as \"Double Joker Poker.\"
The casino offers five five-line video poker games known as \"Cash Grab.\" These games feature superior graphics and sound quality compared to their single-line counterparts. Standard payouts for royal flushes apply to maximum coin bets, with some games offering an impressive 800 coins per coin bet, regardless of bet size. Moreover, there are no auto-hold features whatsoever.
In the five-line games, you might also notice a \"jackpot\" section. At the time of my visit, the jackpot was set at $4,302. Regardless of the game or bet size, the jackpot remains constant. Upon inquiring with support, I learned that it can be won at any moment and is random. My interpretation is that there exists a separate mechanism, distinct from the card game, responsible for awarding the jackpot. Ideally, this mechanism would ensure that winning probabilities correspond to the size of the bet. However, when I pressed support for details about this probability, they only described it as \"random.\"
I must mention a particular hand I played while enjoying five-play Double Bonus.
You might notice that I drew the four of hearts twice on the bottom hand. Despite hitting three of a kind four times and obtaining one four of a kind, I was only paid for a Jacks or Better twice. I reached out to the Drake casino support team three times regarding this issue and received no response. However, upon contacting Arrow's Edge software, they took the matter seriously and removed the game until the problem could be resolved.
To sum up, the pay tables for these video poker games are quite underwhelming. The payout rates vary from 92.10% to 98.78%, excluding the uncertain value of the mystery jackpot. When playing online, I believe players should not settle for anything less than 9-6 Jacks or Better, which promises a return of 99.54%.
The table below lists the available Video Poker games in alphabetical order.

Ordered by Return at Arrow's Edge Video Poker
The rules are based on a 5% commission with no player banking involved. The A-2-3-4-5 straight is the second highest hand, a rule I personally find unfavorable. There is no designated button for the house way, and the cards are not arranged conveniently for hand setups.

Pai Gow Poker
The usual online pai gow poker One commendable aspect of Arrow's Edge table games is the typically low minimum bet of just $1. However, this is not the case with Pai Gow Poker. To provide you with a screenshot of an actual hand, I had to place the minimum wager of $25. These are the lengths I go to for my readers. So after making that hefty bet, what was the outcome? A jack-high pai gow, as you can see in the image. Oh dear!
Observing the variety available at the Drake Casino, it appears that there are two different types of Arrow's Edge slots.
Slots
The first category can be located within the \"Super Slots\" section. These games are quite entertaining, complete with engaging animations, lively sounds, and imaginative bonus features.
In contrast, the games found under the \"Cash Grab Slots\" title seem to originate from Arrow's Edge some time ago and come off as somewhat outdated when compared to their Super Slots offerings. Word has it that Arrow's Edge plans to phase out these older titles over time.
The payouts are the typical low American odds. You only get 2x odds on line bets, with the hop odds being a meager 15/30 to 1 payoff. Even the field pays the same stingy odds of only 2 to 1 on both the 2 and the 12.
Craps
The odds in Craps The game also appeared to be somewhat glitchy. I encountered issues preventing me from placing or laying the odds on don't pass and don't come bets when the bet was less than $5. Be sure to select the \"clear table\" or \"collect winnings\" option after winning, or you may find your winnings inadvertently carried over to the next roll.
The game utilizes the standard 1-2-3-4-5-7-20-50-100 American payout table.
Caribbean Stud Poker
This results in a house edge of 5.22% in relation to the Ante bet. Caribbean Stud Poker The side bet for the progressive jackpot follows a payout structure of $50-$75-$100-10%-100%. The return for that is 23.03% plus 1.54% for every $10,000 in the jackpot meter. It reaches equilibrium at $263,205.26. As of this writing in November 2015, the meter at the Drake casino stood at $35,532.
The game is displayed as \"Let it Ride\" in the game menu at the Drake casino, but the felt refers to it as \"Ride Em Poker.\" I’m not fond of renaming games just to circumvent royalty fees, so I prefer to call it by its original name.
Let it Ride
The standard payout structure applied consists of 1-2-3-5-8-11-50-200-1000, yielding a house edge of 3.51% for one bet unit. The side bet adheres to the familiar structure of $5-$25-$50-$200-$400-$2,000-$20,000, reflecting typical odds seen in Las Vegas before Let it Ride fell out of favor, with a house edge of 25.53%.
