The pairings featured at the Farmers Insurance Open were marked by 30-cent lines. Futures on the Masters, which boasted 95 golfers to wager on, had a staggering house edge of 47.93% (yikes!).

Tennis

In mid-January, during this review, the Australian Open had reached its semi-final stages. The most competitive match had a 30-cent line derived from a pairing of +115/-145. The remaining three matches, which involved semifinal showdowns between men and women, had odds of +240/-320, +475/-750, and +180/-240.

Boxing

At this moment, there were a couple of lesser-known boxing matches available for wagers. The line pairings were +600/-1000 and +800/-1500.

Rugby

As I was reviewing, TopBet was taking futures bets for the Six Nations Championship. Among the six options, the overall house edge came to 10.10%. The odds for Italy were remarkably high at +250,000 (or 2,500 to 1). While it’s generous of TopBet to provide such significant odds, one can't help but question the performance of the Italian team.

Based on my observations, the only bets offered by TopBet during this review were futures related to the next NASCAR race. Of the 28 options, which included 27 specific drivers plus a separate field, the average house edge stood at 30.14%.

Olympics

During this assessment, the 2018 Winter Olympics were approaching rapidly. TopBet provided 30-cent over/under bets focusing on the total number of gold medals anticipated for each country. The highest over/under value was set at 12.5 for Norway.

Additionally, there was a futures bet available regarding which country would secure the most gold medals. Out of 11 countries, plus one 'field' option, the overall house edge was pegged at 28.19%. Norway was favored, with odds of -115, while its neighboring country Sweden was listed at +7500.
