Introduction
The NBA All-Star Game and its accompanying events took place on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Since its revamp in 2018, the game format includes two team captains who select their roster from all available players, independent of their conference affiliation.
This year's captains were LeBron James and Kevin Durant. Unfortunately, Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons from the Philadelphia 76ers had to withdraw after being in contact with a barber who later tested positive for COVID-19. Team LeBron triumphed in the All-Star Game with a score of 170 to 150.

This marked his first MVP award for the event. He was truly a force on the court, finishing with a record-high of 35 points, shooting perfectly with no misses. Giannis even managed to sink a couple of three-point shots in this exhilarating matchup.
His performance shattered the old record of the most consecutive makes without a miss in the NBA All-Star Game, which was previously held by Hal Greer since 1968, when Greer went 8 for 8. The MVP trophy for the All-Star Game now holds the name Kobe Bryant Trophy , honoring the basketball legend who tragically passed away in a helicopter crash in February 2020.

The Dunk Contest
During the halftime of the 2020-2021 NBA All-Star Game, the Dunk Contest took place featuring three of the NBA's most exciting youthful talent: Anfernee Simons from the Portland Trail Blazers, Obi Toppin from the New York Knicks, and Cassius Stanley from the Indiana Pacers. Anfernee Simons clinched the title with a spectacular dunk where he showcased his impressive vertical leap by blowing a kiss to the rim while in mid-air.

The 3-Point Contest
The 3-Point Contest was a showcase for 6 top-tier shooters from the National Basketball Association, including Stephen Curry , Jayson Tatum Players from the Boston Celtics, Mike Conley of the Utah Jazz, Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls, Donovan Mitchell Members of the Utah Jazz and Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics also participated. LaVine, Mitchell, and Brown were eliminated after the first round, with Tatum knocked out in the second round.
The final showdown was between Curry and Conley. The competition was incredibly tight, with Curry ultimately securing victory by nailing the last shot to edge out Mike Conley. Had Curry missed, Conley would have taken home the title of the 2021 NBA 3-Point Contest champion, marking this as the second time Curry has triumphed in this event.

In the NBA Skills Challenge, participants consisted of 2 guards and 4 forwards/centers. The lineup included Luka Doncic from the Dallas Mavericks, Chris Paul from the Phoenix Suns, Robert Covington from the Portland Trail Blazers, Julius Randle from the New York Knicks, Domantas Sabonis from the Indiana Pacers, and Nikola Vucevic from the Orlando Magic. While the guards had a bye in the opening round, they ultimately couldn't advance further, as the big men dominated the event. In the final, Sabonis and Vucevic faced each other, and Sabonis narrowly triumphing by sinking the final shot before Vucevic could respond after both had missed their initial attempts.
