Instructions for Purchasing Burning Man Tickets during the Open Sale – March 21, 2019

An essential date is approaching – the primary ticket sale for Burning Man 2019 is nearly here. These tickets are highly sought after and tend to sell extremely quickly, often within just thirty minutes. You can purchase a maximum of two tickets along with a single vehicle entry pass. As April 10 arrives, a large number of people will be trying to snag these tickets the moment sales start, making it a true test of luck. If you choose not to participate in the sale and still wish to attend, be prepared to pay significantly more—up to three times the original price—if you manage to find a ticket at all.

Here are the steps you must follow to secure a ticket.

1. First, create a Burning Man profile, which is a simple process that can be completed at any time. Head over to burningman.org and fill out the necessary information. Rest assured, your inbox won’t be flooded with spam.
2. From April 3 to April 5, you need to sign up for the main sale. While I'm not entirely certain how this works, if you access your Burner profile during those days, you should find guidance on the process.
3. Make sure to be at your computer or mobile device by noon Pacific Time on April 10 and give it your best shot. It’s been suggested that using several devices can increase your odds of success.

I understand that many of you reading this may not have plans to attend. However, if you happen to know someone who is planning to go (like myself), they would greatly appreciate your help in securing tickets for them. Each ticket in the main sale is priced at $425, and vehicle passes cost an additional $100. Meanwhile, tickets available during the alternative pre-sale are priced at a hefty $1,400.
