Memories of 2009

The year 2009 began on a positive note for me. My website was performing exceptionally well, which gave me the assurance to move into a more appealing home. At that time, I believed that the worst of the subprime mortgage disaster in 2008 had already passed. However, I was mistaken. The value of my new home plummeted by an additional 40%. Fortunately, after several years, it did recover.

The highlight of my travels in 2009 was a journey to China, primarily to visit the total eclipse of July 22 . Since we were already making such a long trip, we explored the beautiful Yangtze River region, stopping by cities like Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Wuhan, Chongqing, and also the famous Three Gorges Dam. Additionally, I took a quick trip to San Felipe in Mexico. On top of that, I had a solo business trip to Montreal to meet up with friends at Bodog. Despite the financial turmoil, it turned out to be an enjoyable and successful year.
