Deuce on the Deal
Introduction
Deuce on the Deal is a unique video poker game developed by Bally, which I first encountered at the Suncoast in Las Vegas on September 30, 2007. The gameplay follows the standard video poker rules but gives players the chance to pay five additional coins to ensure that they receive at least one deuce. The game randomly deals hands behind the scenes until it finds one with at least one deuce.
In the subsequent payout tables, the 'win' amount is calculated per coin based on the maximum bet, excluding the fee for the deuce. Therefore, the real payout would be five times the displayed amount. The 'return' is determined by multiplying the win, the likelihood of that win, and 0.5. The inclusion of 0.5 serves to account for the fee associated with securing the deuce.
