Video Poker Speed Records

Introduction

This page aims to highlight the fastest video poker players currently known. I've documented two separate records: one for playing on a single machine and another for two machines simultaneously. Here are the individuals who hold these records:

Seven

Machines Speed* Record Holder Date
One 2,262 Dr. Antonius 11/1/2017
Two 2,544 Ken 10/17/2017

* Speed measured in hands per hour.

Rules

  1. Gameplay will be timed for approximately ten minutes.
  2. All gameplay will be captured on video to ensure precision.
  3. If any errors occur, we'll deduct three hands for each 1% decrease in expected value from the total number of hands played, based on our evaluations. video poker hand analyzer .
  4. Gameplay may include any five-card draw game, but excludes types like Pick 'Em Poker and Double Down Stud .
  5. Only single-play games count. What’s significant are the decisions made during play. Therefore, please refrain from asking about 100-play video poker.

Single Machine Record

The current record for the fastest play is held by 'Dr. Antonius,' who achieved an incredible speed of 2,262 hands per hour. He's chosen to keep his identity low-key, but you can witness his hand movements in the video showcasing his record-breaking session.

Before Dr. Antonius set his record, 'Ken' held the titles for both single-machine and double-machine play. Here’s a look at Ken's efficiency on a single machine.

Finally, here is an honorable mention This record previously belonged to 'gerbackk,' who achieved a speed of approximately 2,032 hands per hour using a 10/6 double double bonus machine. I have yet to review the entire video for accuracy.

Double Machine Record

'Ken' holds the record for playing two machines simultaneously, delivering an astounding speed of 2,544 hands per hour. He graciously participated in an on-camera interview as well. Here’s the footage from his record-breaking event.

For entertainment, I captured another video showcasing Ken from a broader angle, where he reached an even more impressive rate of 2,590 hands per hour. However, this session didn’t last the required ten minutes, so it won't be classified as an official record.
