The following column represents the combinations to achieve an equal poker value with the remaining 49 cards. The last column displays the multiplication of the preceding two columns.

The bottom right corner reveals that there are 460,824 different ways for two hands to share the same poker value from a single deck. The total combinations of two poker hands from the deck is calculated as combin(52,3)*combin(49,3) = 407,170,400. Therefore, the likelihood of a tie occurring is 460,824/407,170,400, which is approximately 0.001131772, or about 1 in 883.57.

When we exclude the ties, the probability of either hand winning becomes (1 - 0.001131772)/2 = 0.499434.

Typically, bets with lower odds in casino games yield a smaller return, but surprisingly, in this scenario, the tie bet offers the best return at 97.90%.
