Introduction
This tool will help you determine the house advantage for events with only two possible results. Whether you're dealing with a point spread, a moneyline, or totals, this calculator can assist you. Simply enter the line for each result, hit 'calculate,' and it will provide you with the house edge, assuming that both outcomes have equal odds.
By default, the calculator utilizes American odds format (like -110, +120). Alternatively, you can use European odds, which are calculated on a 'for one' basis (such as 1.9091, 2.2000).
It's essential to note that I'm not suggesting that both outcomes always carry the same house edge. This calculator primarily serves as a helpful way to understand the percentage of the bet that a casino retains. For instance, if the moneyline odds are +300 and -450, the calculated balanced house edge would be 6.38%.
