Roulette-18
Introduction
I was introduced to Roulette-18 during the Global Gaming Expo in 2014. This game shares some similarities with traditional roulette but features 19 unique outcomes and uses a 20-sided die instead of the usual spinning wheel. You can experience it at select Grosvenor casinos across the UK.

Here are the actual Roulette-18 dice that were graciously provided to me during the Global Gaming Expo.
Rules
The game uses an icosahedron The die, which is one of the five platonic solids known for its geometric properties, has 20 triangular faces. It is marked with numbers 0 through 19, along with an additional 00. In the event that 00 is rolled, it cancels all current bets, and the die must be rolled again. Players can place various bets based on the results.
- Straight up: Wager on a single number, with a payout of 17 to 1.
- Split: Wager on two neighboring numbers for a payout of 8 to 1.
- Street: Wager on a sequence of three numbers in a row, with a payout of 5 to 1.
- Corner: Wager on a group of four connected numbers, paying out 7 to 2.
- Line: Wager on six consecutive numbers, with a payout of 2 to 1.
- Odd: Bet on all the odd numbers. Pays 1 to 1.
- Even: Bet on all even numbers, offering even odds of 1 to 1.
- 1-9: Bet on the number 1 to 9. Pays 1 to 1.
- 10-18: Bet on the number 10 to 18. Pays 1 to 1.
- Red: Place your bet on the nine red numbers, also with a payout of 1 to 1.
- Black: Place your bet on the nine black numbers, which similarly pays out 1 to 1.

Strategy
For all even-money bets, there is a specific rule: if the die lands on zero, the player only loses half of their wager. This effectively halves the house edge from 5.26% down to 2.63%. Therefore, akin to the strategy employed in European roulette, I recommend focusing on even money bets for a better chance.
