Repeater Bets Plus

Introduction

Repeater Bets Plus offers a variant of the classic craps game designed for the table setting Repeater This version includes additional side bets and a unique surrender option for selected wagers. The game started testing at the Linq in Las Vegas on July 16, 2021.

Rules

  1. Two ordinary six-side dice are used.
  2. A variety of bets are on offer, and a key rule is that all unfinished bets automatically lose if a seven is rolled. To achieve a win, players need to roll designated totals a certain number of times before hitting a seven.
  3. Players have the flexibility to place bets on any number that hasn’t been rolled yet at any moment during gameplay.
  4. The first table below outlines the various bets, detailing the payouts and providing concise explanations of the winning conditions. All payouts are structured on a 'one-to-one' basis.
  5. Bets on specific totals include a surrender option if that number has been rolled a predetermined amount of times. The possible surrender amounts are detailed in the second table below.

The next table lists the range of available bets, their payouts, and a succinct description of the conditions for winning.

When it comes to making the most out of your initial wager, I suggest aiming for the full win on all bets with the exception of 2 or 12. In those cases, surrendering after one success is advisable.

Yet, there’s a case to be made for continuing after a win on 2 or 12. If we regard the risk post one win as a separate wager, it presents a house edge of 4.76%, which is lower than any of the original bets. My usual betting advice focuses on maximizing returns per initial stake. Following this perspective, players should indeed surrender after a success on either 2 or 12.

Strategy

As previously noted, the average house edge here stands at 19.99%. This figure might seem steep; however, remember that many rolls are required to settle most bets. If you do take part, the best initial wager, not considering the surrender aspect, is on Citywide with a 17.80% edge. Alternatively, this can be reduced to 14.29% by betting on 2 or 12 and surrendering for a win of 6 to 1 after successfully rolling the target number once.

Methodology

Calculating the odds for most bets is fairly straightforward. However, for bets like Even, Odd, Uptown, Downtown, Horn, and Citywide, the analysis can become complex. Many tend to rely on random simulations, but I prefer striving for exact solutions whenever possible, utilizing integral calculus for these computations. Below is a brief document illustrating A Guide to Evaluating Even, Odd, Uptown, Downtown, Horn, and Citywide Bets in Repeater Bets Plus (PDF).

I want to express my gratitude to Ace2 for confirming the findings regarding the Even bet and for the overall assistance with this analytical approach for craps side bets.
