Rules

1. There's a 0.25% chance that any individual dart will land in the inner bullseye.
2. The odds of a dart hitting the outer bullseye stand at 0.5%.
3. Each section of the dartboard has an equal likelihood of being hit, calculated at 99.25% divided by 20, which equals 4.9625% for each slice.
4. The chance of a dart landing in one of the single scoring rings is 74.4375%.
5. If you aim for the double ring, the odds are 14.8875% that the dart will land there.
6. The probability of hitting the triple ring with a dart is 9.925%.
7. In the example above, I placed a $1 bet predicting that exactly one dart would hit the double circle (which resulted in a $3 win), $1 on the likelihood of at least one dart landing in the outer bullseye (which I lost), $1 forecasting a total score of 3 to 38 (which yielded a $2 win), and $1 on number 13 (which was unsuccessful).

The table below outlines the probabilities and returns associated with each betting option. It indicates that the most favorable bet is on one double, with odds of 97.0624%.

Analysis

A $1 bet on the progressive jackpot offers $20 for a single bullseye (either outer or inner), $2000 for two bullseyes, and a jackpot for three. The anticipated return is 77.82%, plus an additional 4.22% for every $100,000 accumulated in the meter. The breakeven point occurs at $525,643.70.
