Introduction
I found this house way that I thought was common in all the casinos across British Columbia, Canada. It was available on the British Columbia Lottery Corporation's official website, although the specific link to these house rules has since been altered or removed.

- NO PAIR: In the high hand, play the highest card, followed by the second and third highest cards in the low hand.
- ONE PAIR: Utilize the pair for the high hand, while placing the next highest in the low hand.
- TWO PAIRS: When dividing, always allocate the lower pair to the low hand.
Low Pair = 2\" through 6\"
Medium Pair = \"s through 10\"
High Pair = Jacks through Kingsa) When you have a low hand with a medium card: Split unless you have a King/Queen or King/Jack or better; then, utilize two pairs for the high hand.
b) Low hand with a high card: Split unless you have an Ace, then utilize two pairs in the high hand.
c) Medium hand with another medium card: Split unless you have an Ace, at which point use two pairs in the high hand.
d) High with Medium/High: Always split.
e) Aces with any Pair: Always split. - THREE PAIRS: Use the highest pair to constitute the low hand.
- THREE OF A KIND: Always employ it for the high hand, unless splitting three aces, leaving a pair of aces in the high hand.
- (TWO) THREE OF A KIND: Divide the highest three of a kind to create a low hand.
- GAME RULES
STRAIGHT, FLUSH, STRAIGHT FLUSH, ROYAL FLUSH: If there is no pair, maintain as the high hand.
Exceptions:
When choosing between a Straight, Flush, or Straight Flush, select the one that permits the highest cards in the low hand.
a) If you have a five-card Straight or Straight Flush that is Ace high and features a Joker, use the two Aces (Ace and Joker) for the high hand while arranging the remaining cards for the low hand.b) Exception: For a six or seven card Straight or Straight Flush being Ace high with a Joker, opt for the lower Straight (9 through King or 8 through Queen) for the high hand and the Ace with either the King or the other card in the low hand.
Exceptions:
With One Pair: Utilize the pair in the low hand if it allows for maintaining a Straight, Flush, or Straight Flush in the high hand. Otherwise, follow the same approach as when no pair exists. With Two Pairs: Use \"Two Pairs\" rule.
a) When holding an Ace (or Joker) alongside a pair of 10s through Kings, place the Ace (or Joker) in the low hand while the pair goes into the high hand.
With Three Pairs: Apply the 'Three Pairs' guideline.
With Three of a Kind: Divide it, placing one pair in the low hand while ensuring a Flush or Straight remains in the high hand.
- With a Full House: Adhere to the 'Full House' guidelines.
FULL HOUSE: In most scenarios, a Full House combined with two unmatched cards is separated, with the pair designated for the low hand. Exception: If the Full House has a pair of 2s and the unmatched cards are an Ace and a King, then keep the Ace and King in the low hand while maintaining the Full House in the high hand. Exceptions: - When holding a Full House and a Pair, place the highest Pair in the low hand.
FOUR OF A KIND (with three unmatched cards): Never split 2, 3, 4, 5, 6; retain in high hand; however, for 7, 8, 9, 10, split unless an Ace can form a low hand.
J, Q, K, A\" always split. - FOUR OF A KIND (with a pair): Retain the four of a kind in the high hand and the pair for the low hand.
- FOUR OF A KIND (with three of a kind): Keep the four of a kind in the high hand and use a pair from the three of a kind in the low hand. Exception: Split four Aces, unless three of a kind are Kings.
- FIVE ACES: Split them and put two Aces in the low hand. Exception: If you also have two Kings, place the Kings in the low hand.
