Lucky Star

Introduction

Lucky Star Roulette is an easy-to-understand game based on numbers. The game board features a pentagram shape with 40 numbered spots ranging from 0 to 8. A light moves around the pentagram and finally halts at a random number. The five points located at the corners of the inner pentagon are intersections of two lines, which gives them a higher probability of being selected compared to the other spots.

This game can be found in select online casinos, particularly those that focus on players from the UK. I am unsure about the software provider behind it, so if you discover that information, please share it with me.

Rules

  1. Players engage with the game on the pentagram board. Each of the five lines forming the pentagram consists of nine numbered spots, from 0 to 8.
  2. There are five spots that overlap between two lines, leading to a total calculation of 9 times 5 minus 5, which results in 40 spots overall.
  3. A light circles around the five lines of the pentagram and randomly stops at one of the available 40 spots.
  4. The five spots that intersect on two lines all share the same number, 1. As the light passes through these intersections more frequently than through other spots, they present a probability of winning that is twice as high as that of the other numbers.
  5. The table below outlines the various bets that can be placed and their corresponding payouts. All winnings are based on a one-to-one ratio.

List of Bets

According to the rules, the spots designated for the number 1 sit at the intersections, giving them twice the weight compared to the others. Despite there being a total of 40 spots, five of those are double-weighted, resulting in the light passing through 45 spots during a full rotation.

The upcoming list showcases the different betting options available and indicates how many winning spots occur in a single rotation.

  • 0: There are a pair of zeros located on the sides of the central pentagram, offering 2 winning stops during each rotation.
  • 1: There are five ones positioned at the corners of the central pentagram, leading to a total of 2 times 5, which equals 10 winning stops in each rotation.
  • 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7: Each of these numbers also has five representations, one at each point of the pentagram, providing 5 winning stops during every rotation for each number.
  • 8: The number eight appears three times on the sides of the central pentagram, contributing to three winning stops in a rotation.
  • Green: Both the numbers 0 and 8 are marked in green, so the cumulative winning stops from these numbers totals 2 plus 3, which equals 5.
  • Red: The numbers 1, 3, and 6 are displayed in red, giving a total of winning stops to 10 plus 5 plus 5, which sums to 20.
  • Black: The numbers 2, 4, 5, and 7 are shown in black, accumulating to 4 times 5, resulting in 20 total winning stops.
  • Lo: The numbers categorized as low include 1, 2, 3, and 4, resulting in 10 plus 3 times 5, making for a total of 25 winning stops.
  • Hi: Recognizing 5, 6, 7, and 8 as high numbers, the total winning stops here is calculated as 3 plus 3 times 5, leading to 18 winning stops.
  • Odd: The odd numbers are 1, 3, 5, and 7, combining to give a total of 10 plus 3 times 5, which results in 25 winning stops.
  • Even: The even numbers 2, 4, 6, and 8 yield a total count of 2 plus 3 times 5, which equals 18 winning stops.
  • Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Soil: These represent the five symbols from Chinese philosophy. Each symbol aligns with one line of the pentagram. Remember that two of the spots occur at intersections, which are double-weighted. Therefore, the total number of winning stops for each symbol is calculated as 2 times 2 plus 7, resulting in 11.
