Introduction
This tool assesses the winning probabilities for the California SuperLotto Plus lottery or any other lottery format that involves selecting five 'white' balls along with one 'mega' ball without any additional 'power play' bet.
This game is designed to be progressive, meaning that the available prizes can fluctuate. The initial prize amounts displayed in this tool reflect the figures from when I developed it on March 4, 2016 (a notable date for square roots). You are welcome to input any prize values that you choose.
The return section indicates the ratio of winnings compared to the amount wagered. The overall return shown in the bottom right cell represents the average expected return for the game, not factoring in taxes, the time value of annuity payments, or winnings sharing.
