Gamblit
Introduction
I like to refer to Gamblit as a brand of games created by developers specializing in skill-based gaming for casinos. Gamblit Gaming I first encountered Gamblit during the 2016 Cutting Edge Table Game exhibition in Las Vegas, where they captured a lot of attention and were honored with the award for best new game. Gamblit Gaming produces a variety of games, and to simplify things, I'll collectively refer to them as 'Gamblit' games.
Here’s a video I recorded during the event.
Rules
The following guidelines pertain to two gaming machines located at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, designed for groups of two to four players. It's possible that Gamblit offers additional games with distinct rules.
- To initiate a game, participation from two to four players is necessary.
- Each participant is required to place an equal wager. At MGM Grand, for instance, the bet was set at $2.
- A countdown timer will be activated to signal the beginning of the game.
- A spinning wheel of prizes will randomly select the award for the winner. Below are the potential prize pool ratios compared to the total bets placed at the MGM Grand machines.
- 0.6
- 0.75
- 0.9
- 1.2
- 1.5
- 2.1
- 2.4
- 3
- 6
- 30
- 60
From my experience playing about 20 times, the outcomes were consistently among the three lowest potential prizes.
- Players will then engage in the game being played. Regardless of the specific aim, all Gamblit games share a common feature where cards are revealed one at a time. The first participant to hit the 'grab' button secures the card. Each player has a limit on how many cards they can pick up, so it's wise to avoid accumulating unnecessary cards that won't aid in winning or may assist your competitors.
- If no one snatches a specific card within 1.7 seconds, the game will proceed to deal the next card in line.
- As soon as a player has completed their hand, the game will transition into a countdown phase, dealing out a predetermined number of final cards.
- If a player manages to achieve the highest-ranked hand, such as a royal flush in a poker-themed game, that player wins automatically.
- When all cards are dealt or every player has a complete hand, the hands will be evaluated, and the player with the highest score will claim the pot.
