Deuces Wild

Introduction
I came across a new table game called Deuces Wild at the Red Rock casino in Las Vegas back in February 2011. It wasn't until I revisited my earlier notes from 2001 that I recognized it as the same game I had analyzed previously under the same title. Wild Hold \"Em Fold \"Em . It should not be confused with the video poker game This game offers a basic take on poker, where all deuces act as wild cards. Players have the option to either raise or fold twice during the game, and victory is claimed by forming at least a pair of aces.
There were indications of a side bet based on the signs around the table, though it seemed to be unavailable during my visit.

- A standard deck of 52 cards is utilized, with deuces being wild.

- Initially, the dealer deals three cards to the player.
- Players have the choice to place a Play wager that matches their Ante wager or to fold.
- If the player remains in the game, the dealer proceeds to deal a fourth card.
- At this point, the player can decide to make a Raise wager that is twice the amount of their Ante wager, or they can choose to fold.
- If the player continues, a fifth card is dealt by the dealer.
- For players still engaged in the game, the dealer will compensate them based on the poker rankings of their five cards in accordance with the pay table provided below.
Aside from a pair of aces, the payouts for Ante, Play, and Raise bets follow the structure laid out in the pay table below.

Strategy
Play Bet Strategy
The player is advised to opt for the Play bet with any of the following hands; otherwise, they should fold.
- Any hand with a deuce.
- A pair or three of a kind.
- Three to a flush with an ace.
- Three to a straight flush.
Statistically, players will make the Play bet 38.1% of the time.
Raise Bet Strategy
The player should consider making the Raise bet with any of the listed hands, otherwise they should fold.
- Any hand with a deuce.
- This includes any hand that results in a payout, such as a pair of aces, two pair, or three of a kind.
- Additionally, combinations that form four cards towards a straight, flush, or straight flush.
- Low pair (3s-Ks) *.
Note : Placing a Raise bet on a low pair is expected to break even. Players generally face a loss of two betting units whether they choose to raise or fold. Personally, my recommendation would be to raise in such situations, as the player has already embraced the risk factor by engaging in the game to begin with.
Should the player correctly execute the Play bet, it’s likely they will also opt for the Raise bet 97.7% of the time.
