TriLux
Introduction
TriLux is a side bet in blackjack that depends on the first two cards dealt to the player and the dealer's up card. It has similarities to the traditional side bet but provides the dealer with a fixed bonus for any winning hands. 21+3 This side bet operates using standard decks containing 52 cards.
Rules
- Winning hands involve a combination of three cards: the two player cards dealt initially and the dealer’s up card.
- Three different tables are provided below. They present the payouts for players based on their wager, as is standard. They also include the 'Lucky George' bonus, which is a flat amount awarded to the dealer regardless of the player's bet size.
- You might be curious about the origin of the term 'Lucky George bonus' for the dealer's reward. One explanation could be that a generous customer is referred to as a 'George,' while a less generous one may be termed a 'stiff.' It's also suggested that the dollar bill features George Washington, and during the time this slang was popular, a dollar was considered a decent tip.
Below are three recognized pay tables along with their respective Lucky George bonuses.
I encountered the pay table 4 during my visit to the 7 Cedars casino in Washington on July 28, 2021. I do not recall seeing a Lucky George bonus there, suggesting that it might not be available.
