Super 4

Introduction

Super 4 is a progressive side bet in Blackjack that relies on the initial four cards made up of the player’s and dealer’s two cards each, with at least four known variations existing. In each version, the player wins if the dealer has a blackjack, and the win amount varies based on the poker rankings of all four cards. Placing the wager costs a flat rate of $5.

Rules

1. This side bet can be applied to any standard Blackjack game played with a deck of 52 cards.
2. Three distinct variations exist; however, all require at least the dealer to show an ace face up for any win. In the first version, the dealer must have a blackjack. In the second and third versions, every win, with the exception of a dealer ace showing, necessitates the dealer to have a blackjack.
3. The bet amount is $5.
4. The payout structure is as follows, with all winnings based on a 'for one' principle meaning that the player does not receive their wager back even if they win.

Version 3 Analysis

The expected return stands at 52.89%, plus an additional 0.34% for every $10,000 accumulated in the yellow meter, 1.01% for each $10,000 in the red meter, 9.80% for every $1,000 in the blue meter, and 8.47% for each $1,000 in the green meter.

The expected return is 52.96%, with extra increments of 0.33% for every $10,000 in the yellow meter, 1.00% for each $10,000 in the red meter, 10.03% for every $1,000 in the blue meter, and 8.43% for each $1,000 in the green meter.

The return is 53.04%, plus 0.33% for each $10,000 in the yellow meter, 1.00% per $10,000 in the red meter, 10.32% for every $1,000 in the blue meter, and 8.39% for each $1,000 in the green meter.

Version 4 Analysis

Version 4 introduces a fifth 'mystery' progressive jackpot that activates randomly. Specifics on this feature are unclear, but I do know that it reached $265 on April 26 at the Maryland Live casino. The following three tables provide my analysis of version 4 for 5, 6, and 8 decks, along with some statistics regarding this progressive aspect.

Here is my evaluation of Version 4 utilizing 5 decks.

The anticipated return is 53.58%, plus an additional 0.34% for every $10,000 on the yellow meter, 1.01% for each $10,000 on the red meter, 9.80% for every $1,000 in the blue meter, 8.47% for each $1,000 in the green meter, plus an undisclosed amount for the diamond meter.

Here is my assessment of Version 4 with Six Decks.

The return stands at 52.96%, along with 0.33% for each $10,000 in the yellow meter, 1.00% for every $10,000 in the red meter, 10.03% for every $1,000 in the blue meter, 8.43% for each $1,000 in the green meter, and an unknown figure for the diamond meter.
