Introduction

On July 16, 2017, I encountered Blackjack 11's at the Grand Casino Brussels in Belgium. It features a minimum stake of 10 Euros and rewards players if they score 11 points from their first two cards, including a potential blackjack. The game is equipped with unique features and offers four progressive jackpots, so be sure to read the rules for more insights.

It's important to note that this side bet is distinct from other similar betting options. Perfect 11 (singular).

Rules

  1. The game utilizes six decks of playing cards.
  2. At the Grand Casino Brussels, the entry bet is set at 10€.
  3. One of the six ace of spades cards bears the inscription 'Jackpot,' which I will refer to as the Jackpot Ace.
  4. Three special dice are used, each with five blank faces and one featuring an infinity symbol, which I will call Infinity Dice.
  5. When the player obtains a suited 11, not qualifying for the top two progressive jackpots, the three Infinity Dice will be rolled inside a dome initiated by the player pressing a red button. The player becomes eligible for the progressive jackpots if at least two of the dice reveal the infinity symbol.
  6. The possible wins are as follows:
    • Jackpot Ace combined with a king of spades triggers a Progressive jackpot (worth €7,202 on July 16, 2017).
    • Jackpot Ace paired with any king other than the spades triggers a Progressive jackpot (€1,318 on July 16, 2017).
    • Having a suited 11 with three Infinity symbols activates a Progressive payout (€250 on July 16, 2017).
    • A suited 11 alongside two Infinity symbols results in a Progressive win (€165 on July 16, 2017).
    • Suited 11 and zero or one infinity — 15 for 1
    • A colored 11, which denotes cards of the same color but differing suits, pays out 10 to 1.
    • Mixed 11 (cards in opposite colors) — 3 for 1
    • The Mystery Jackpot is a Progressive reward (€3,900 on July 16, 2017).

The awarding of the Mystery Jackpot appears to be random, probably determined by a random number generator. As per usual, the chances of winning remain unclear. I would assume the odds are relatively low, considering the substantial jackpot. I also lack information regarding the initial amounts and the progressive contribution rates tied to the winning cards.

Analysis

The table below illustrates the probabilities and return contributions for every event noted. Since four of the awards are progressive and I lack clarity on their starting amounts or rate increases, their exact values are undetermined. The final cell on the bottom right indicates that fixed awards yield a return of 70.97%.

The next table represents the bet analysis as of July 16, 2017, at approximately 9 PM at the Grand Casino Brussels. Progressive wins have been normalized to a 10€ bet amount for comparison purposes. This analysis does not incorporate the Mystery Jackpot's value. The bottom right entry reveals an 89.62% return, excluding the Mystery Jackpot.
