Rules
To maintain clarity, I use uppercase for bet names in Baccarat while referring to participants in lowercase.
- The drawing rules are the same as in conventional baccarat This is something I believe the reader has some prior knowledge about.
- Beyond traditional bets, there are additional options for betting on the total points of the winning hand, which does not require players to identify which hand will win—just the anticipated score.
- The bet on a winning total of 9 pays 2 to 1.
- The bet on a winning total of 8 pays 3 to 1.
- The bet on a winning total of 7 pays 4 to 1.
- The bet on a winning total of 5 or 6 pays 3 to 1.
- The bet on a winning total of 1 to 4 pays 7 to 1.

Strategy
Given a house edge that varies between 13.11% and 27.98%, I would suggest avoiding the Winning Total bets, especially at the mentioned payouts. However, if you find yourself in a desperate situation where you must place a bet, the optimal choice would be to wager on a total of 8. It’s worth noting that these bets might be countable (just a thought, everyone!). Still, they do come with a significant house edge to overcome. I'll leave the method for doing so up to you to figure out.
