Perfect Pairs (Version 1)

Introduction

Perfect Pairs (Version 1)

The first version of the Perfect Pair side bet rewards players if either the Player or Banker achieves an identical pair, matching in both rank and suit, within the first two cards. This type of bet can be found at online casinos featuring live dealers, particularly those powered by Playtech or BetConstruct.

Rules

  1. Typically, Baccarat is played using eight decks, although sometimes only six decks are utilized.
  2. A win on the Perfect Pairs bet occurs if either the Player's or Banker's hand contains a 'Perfect Pair' in the first two dealt cards. A 'Perfect Pair' is comprised of two cards that are the same in both rank and suit.

This initial version differs from the next version in that the latter offers higher payouts if both the Player and Banker end up with a Perfect Pair. version 2 The table below illustrates my findings using eight decks, resulting in a payout of 25 to 1, with the house edge displayed in the bottom right corner at 13.03%.
