All Red/Black
I’ve identified this pair of side bets at a live dealer online casino. The odds are recalibrated with each new betting opportunity as the shoe is dealt. The table below reveals the initial odds at the start of an eight-deck shoe, expressed in a 'to one' format. While no bets are permitted for mixing red and black cards, I’ve included that information for clarity. Interestingly, the 'all black' option pays out higher than 'all red', though the reasons for this are unclear as the probabilities are exactly the same.
Banker Streak

First Two Cards for Banker/Player Matching Suits
I've observed this pair of side bets at a live dealer online casino. A win occurs if the first two cards for either the Player or Banker share the same suit. The odds vary with each new betting round as the shoe is dealt. The subsequent table displays the return rates for either bet, assuming an initial win rate of 2.87 to one for the Player’s bet.
First Two Player Cards Same Suit
Event | Pays | Combinations | Probability | Return |
---|---|---|---|---|
Win | 2.87 | 21,424 | 0.248193 | 0.712313 |
Loss | -1 | 64,896 | 0.751807 | -0.751807 |
Total | 86,320 | 1.000000 | -0.039494 |
Curiously, the payout for the first two Banker cards begins at 2.86, which deviates from the 2.87 assigned to the Player, resulting in an increase of the house edge from 3.95% to 4.20%.

The Panda 8 is a side bet found in some EZ Baccarat side bet of the same name found in blackjack. The payout is set at 75 for 1 for a suited king and queen, and 30 for 1 for an unsuited match. The bottom right cell indicates a return rate of 97.87%, resulting in a house edge of 2.13%.
On January 12, 2010, I encountered an electronic baccarat game at the Bellagio. This setup allows multiple players to compete against an animated dealer displayed on a video screen. The rules appeared standard, except for the presence of pair bets (for both Player and Banker) that awarded a premium for forming a three of a kind. According to the tables shown, the probability of a Player achieving a three of a kind stands at 0.3036%, while the Banker’s probability is 0.2835%. Strange enough, the payout for the Player's three of a kind was set higher at 75 to 1 compared to the Banker’s at 68 to 1. The following two tables reveal house edges of 5.27% on the Player and 8.57% on the Banker.

Cow Cow
I encountered two side bets at a live dealer casino online. The odds fluctuate as the game progresses with each card dealt. The following table illustrates the odds at the beginning of an eight-deck shoe, converted to a 'to one' basis. Although there's no wager for a mixing of red and black cards, I included it for informational purposes. The rationale behind 'all black' paying more than 'all red' eludes me; both have identical probabilities. Cow Cow .
