On this page

Introduction

3-5-7 Poker is an emerging variant of poker that is gaining traction in casinos. It cleverly combines three different games into one format, allowing players to place bets on hands containing 3, 5, or 7 cards, with payouts determined by the respective poker rankings of each hand.

Rules

Gameplay starts when a player makes either 2 or 3 bets. It is necessary to place bets on both the 3-card and the 5-card hands, while wagering on the 7-card hand is optional. Players are free to choose their bet amounts within established table limits.

Once all players have placed their bets, the dealer deals out 3 cards to each player and 4 cards to themselves, all face down. If a player wishes, they can forfeit half of their 7-card wager after viewing their initial three cards, allowing the dealer to take half of that bet and the player to reclaim the remaining half.

The following payout tables detail the rewards associated with each bet for various hands.

Strategy

It’s advisable for players to never surrender their bets. Considering that the 7-card hand features the lowest house edge, I suggest placing the largest bets on that hand while betting the least on the 5-card option.
