Iguazu Grand, Resort Spa & Casino
Forward by the Wizard
In November 2011, I embarked on a journey to Argentina and Uruguay, primarily to explore the attractions there. casino scene Several enthusiasts from my websites encouraged me not to overlook the casino located in Puerto Iguazu, claiming it was the finest in the nation. What transpired? I invested both time and money to take a short flight of two hours from my location to admire both the Iguazu Falls and the reputed casino. However, upon my arrival, I mistakenly believed that the casino at the Panoramic Hotel Iguazu was the one everyone had mentioned. I was puzzled as to why I was directed there. The Panoramic casino turned out to be acceptable but rather small and only moderately crowded on Friday and Saturday evenings. On a Thursday night, I was one of only two players at the table games. Unbeknownst to me, I was at the incorrect casino, and I only discovered this after returning home. Buenos Aires After returning, I connected with a member of a forum named Aluisio, who resides near Puerto Iguazu and frequently visits the casino. He concurred with my sentiment, noting it was regrettable to be in Puerto Iguazu without visiting their renowned casino, the Iguazu Grand. Thankfully, Aluisio generously provided the following report on the casino, written in a similar style to my own.
One of my fans, known on my Wizard of Vegas The Iguazu Grand is a luxurious, five-star hotel and part of the Leading Hotels of the World collection. It is ideally situated in Puerto Iguazu, Argentina, just a short walk from the Brazilian border and tax-free shopping. You can reach Iguazu Falls by car in about ten minutes.
Thanks Aluisio for your report.
The Hotel
Since its inception in 1998, the property has been run by a family business. It is an elegant hotel featuring a theater, spa, fitness center, three outdoor pools, and one indoor heated pool.Guests can choose from three dining options: an Argentine steakhouse (Terrazas) and two international restaurants—one buffet (El Jardin) and the other offering a la carte options. The average meal price hovers around $40 per person, not including tips (standard is 10% in Argentina).
All accommodations are marketed as suites, providing ample space. Each suite boasts king-size beds, 40-inch LCD televisions equipped with satellite, high-speed Wi-Fi, jacuzzi, mini bar, and various other amenities. During my last visit, rates were about $250 per night plus taxes, including breakfast.
The casino features 34 gaming tables and 200 slot machines. Guests have the option to open a credit line at the entrance and receive a players' card. However, unlike player cards in the U.S., this card does not offer cash back or rewards; it is primarily used to monitor gameplay, potentially leading to future room offers during non-holiday weekends. The staff, including the dealers, are accommodating, friendly, and appear to have the players' best interests in mind.

The Casino
In this casino, the accepted currency is U.S. dollars.Regrettably, they enforce strict policies regarding cell phone use and photography inside the casino, limiting me to only capturing a promotional image of the building's exterior.
